Already a while before Crisis Core, and even the legendary game it’s a prequel of, the Final Fantasy series was known for its amazing music, thanks mostly to the genius of Nobuo Uematsu. Today, I’ve chosen a song to the first game in the series where the soundtrack truly excelled over the level of 2-3 good songs standing out as it was until then – Final Fantasy V. It’s a game I enjoy quite a bit, not only because of the famous job system, but also thanks to the story which, while not incredibly deep at first glance, is actually quite broad, with a lot of interesting, if rather two-dimensional characters involved.
While Clash on the Big Bridge – the theme of Gilgamesh, one of the most unorthodox characters in Final Fantasy history, is a typical choice from that game, I have once again gone against the norm, and picked the serene and beautiful Lenna’s Theme which suits its character perfectly. As has been mentioned before, Lenna is a favourite of mine, and her music is probably a part of the reason why.
