Video Game Music of the Week – 11-17.06.2018

I’ve been playing Tales of Vesperia these days… Albeit merely at the slow pace I am able to play games with nowadays. The interesting thing is I’m playing it on my PS3, in Japanese. I bought it 2 years ago during our latest trip to Japan, and it added fuel to my ambition to learn the language – I’d be able to play an acclaimed game, too. Now that I’m finally on the level where I can understand most of it without needing a dictionary (although I still regularly have to look up about 20-30 words for every hour of play), I am playing and enjoying it greatly. It’s not a particularly profound story so far, but its traditional JRPG feel and great characters draw me in. Surely, you’ll read a review of it here soon enough.

Anyway, while the in-game music is rather mediocre, I really like the opening theme by Bonnie Pink, and I am sharing it with you this week. Bonnie Pink is one of my favourite Japanese singers, anyway, so this was a pleasant surprise.

Composers: Burning Chicken, Bonnie Pink
Singer: Bonnie Pink
