After 6 stellar NES entries, the Mega Man series moved to the 16-bit era with the lucky seventh installment… Of course, SNES fans mostly remember Mega Man X, featuring the original hero’s alternative, more “badass” rendition… But the original series also had an entry on that console, and that’s where I’m choosing the music today. Despite the much better sound capabilities of the SNES, the soundtrack isn’t particularly impressive and fails to reach the memorability of the themes from the first few 8-bit entries. But there’s one theme I particularly liked – the Shade Man stage theme. I hope you like it, too!
