Today’s music comes from the Commodore 64 version of Capcom’s arcade game Commando, and has interesting history. Rob Hubbard apparently wrote it in one night… He says he started it late in the night, and was done by 10 AM on the next day. Very impressive, especially since it’s considered one of the best Commodore 64 tunes ever!

I have to thank our forum user msg, a huge Commodore 64 and Amiga enthusiast, for this excellent suggestion for this landmark 250th game tune featured in Video Game Music of the Week. Rob Hubbard’s previous tune featured here was also amazing. Furthermore, both Hubbard and msg hail from Hull!
