This week’s game music is from a very interesting NES game by Sunsoft, and what is considered by many to be the best Batman NES game – Return of the Joker. It’s a fascinating shooter/platformer that my brother used to play it a lot, and I’m not sure if he ever managed to beat it… Sunsoft are known for their particular use of the NES sound chip, with signature hard beats. This soundtrack is also quite awesome, and, following a suggestion by Between Life and Games forum regular Ertyu, I’ve chosen the first stage’s theme today. But do check out the rest of them, too!
