I guess they tried their hand at the Elder Scrolls lots-of-sidequests thing, but I don't bother with them, just advancing the main story.

I also watched FF7 remake on youtube..... i'm just gonna say it: it sucks pretty bad. Don't even know where to start, so i won't. I'm glad i'm not a ff7 fan cuz this would probably ruin my memories. At least SE managed to ruin my memories of crisis core.

A slowdown fix was released for Final Fantasy Tactics on PSP so I decided to play through the whole game again in order to check it out for myself. Beat the first chapter so far. (Took me a while, since I kept taking time out to grind for abilities.) What a fine ass PSP game, I doubt a better SRPG exists or even comes close. Plus there's just something uplifting about seeing that the game was made better and the fact that a fan was able to pull it off.

It's an official PSP port but had slowdown. A fan went and fixed it though.
But wait, apparently it was done in 2012, only now I am trying it. I feel a bit embarrassed now. It's like I am a big PSP fan and only now I am trying this patch. Better late than never I suppose.

I remember when the game first came out, my bro came from Japan and was telling me about the slowdown. I was like maybe because you played a downloaded copy. He was like uhhh.. no. In the end he was right. Square inexplicably decided to release the game like that. Which is odd considering how much the PSP version is improved over the original PS1 version. I adore the new translation. I find it an even bigger improvement than the new animated cutscenes.

To all those who played FF7R: is the games fun to play? The plot is super convoluted, but I think the world looks super pretty I'm hoping is's still fun to play atleast.

You just do fetch quests. I spent an hour looking around sector 6 for kids with toy swords to tell them they were late for lessons.

Take away the nostalgia and the game is dog shit.

It's quite interesting seeing Midgar I suppose, some of it looks great. But that's the nostalgia, you're seeing the places you knew reimagined and it's cool. If you never played the original it's just an area. The game just completely relies on nostalgia. But people with nostalgia don't want this game, they want the old FFVII but with updated graphics.

I actually like the look of the area of Earith's house. I don't even remember what the old house looked like but the old hand drawn aesthetic was pretty cool. It looks like doll houses. Never could get into the game though even though I did finish it. Could not get with the characters/story. Just didn't really feel it. Maybe because I knew Earith dies.

I finished FF12 and now I'm playing FF10. I wanted to get the HD remake, but seeing as all the faces look like plastic sexdolls in all the remakes, I opted to get the ps2 version. I'm liking it so far despite ancient control schemes. It's like a time capsule of the 2000's . Just amazing. The characters are surprisingly likable/believable. I even like Tidus and I even remember hating his face when it first came out.

I tried to win the 1st blitzball tournament and reset the game about 10 times. I still ended up losing 2 to 1 after 3 overtimes. This is as close as I'll ever come to playing fifa.

Well yeah, I don't like the artstyle in the FFVII remake either. The cartoony style in the original was better (not the blocky style though)
