I put both Tekken games on my psp thinking I can extend the story mode for each character. (Treating the two Tekken games as a single game with double length story mode) Imagine my face when I realize that Tekken 6 story mode is basically just 1-2 random opponents and a final boss. Oh, and no cutscenes either.
Wait, does this mean Tekken 6 sucks? Since I got both games, Tekken Dark Resurrection is basically acting as a shield. If I had only gone with 6, what would my opinion be then?
I guess 6 is still decent enough to be in the top 50 or do PSP games. You're probably just meant to play ghost battle until you get bored of the game. It also has a few characters not in Dark Resurrection, such as Lars, whom I really dig.

Tropico 3 and Civ 3 were so good that I'm sticking with this genre for a while. Finally installing Civilization 6! Hopefully it'll be a vast improvement over Civ 3

I started that recent Strider game... I suppose it's supposed to be a remake of the arcade version. But it's brutally easy. You shouldn't be supposed to be beating bosses on your first try during your first ever run through the game... Should've picked "Hard" difficulty over "Normal", I guess. Disappointingly, it's made by a Western studio, just licensed by Capcom. Blah. No wonder it's so easy, and all flash and no substance.

Also played the arcade game for a bit afterwards... It's brutally hard, as always.

Hmmm ... maybe it's because I'm tired or need sleep but Civ 6 doesn't seem as fun as Civ 3 was at the start. It's probably the sleep actually. Maybe Civ 3 had better music or something to keep me awake. Or finding out where everything is again in Civ 6 (menu wise) is making me a little tired.

I beat that mission in Last Raven I was stuck on. This either says something about my skill, or how well designed the game is. I had to rethink my approach and choose different weapons. It became a lot easier then, in fact I had a modest chunk of HP and ammunition still left over.

Anyway, at this rate it seems the most likely thing that will make me give up is if I end up getting an ending I've already seen. Though come to think of it, in theory I can tough that out as well and just keep picking different missions until I tried most of the combinations. Would be a lot easier if I wrote this shit down but how would that even work. I'd have to do it after every mission but I don't like interruptions while I'm playing. The game has a menu displaying all the missions but not what triggers what. Shame on them!

Civ 6 is really different than Civ 3. I think it's easier cuz I got stuck on Tundra with my random civ again but somehow I'm still in the top 3 civs based on score. It's kind of hard to expand quickly from tundra areas. I tried to do a bit of fighting but the combat is slower in this compared to Civ 6. It takes multiple turns to decide the outcome of a battle and it's easier to retreat. Well I'm only playing on the 2nd lowest difficulty setting so maybe that's why it's so easy.

The other thing is there seems to be way too many frigging menus compared to Civ 3 and the ship autoexplore function doesn't seem to be working in Civ 6 ... hmmm ... maybe it will eventually be patched.

Civ 6 so weird, the map doesn't automatically scroll when you move your mouse to the bottom?/top? edge of the map. maybe I have to use the middle mouse button or something. It's still ok overall. Kind of a let down compared to Civ 3 (I guess I was expecting too much  )

And I still feel Tropico 3 was the better overall experience even though it's a different type of game (laying out buildings on an island as opposed to laying out towns, roads, etc. on a world map).

The AI in Civ6 must be really weak on these lower difficulty settings because somehow I got the top score now even though all my cities have a lower population. After I get done with my first playthrough, I might play it again on the same difficulty on a randomly generated map (instead of the current one which uses a tiny version of the real world map (except that it makes europe huge lol)

well Tropico 4 and 5 are on sale again so i might pick one or the other up ... otherwise I might just wait for Tropico 6 to come around. But the bad thing about new releases is that they keep adding DLC until they create a "complete edition" nowadays. and that concept kind of sucks. ah well.

Played more Civ 6 ... I'm at like turn 367 something out of 500. Ugh this game seems so slow at times. I focused on "religious" warfare in the game since it was kind of simple.

The AI in this game is a lot stupider than Civ 3's it seems. They barely expanded into the open areas of the map. No wonder why I was able to maintain such a high score. And when they declared war on me they barely attacked me even though my cities were low on defense.

I dunno if I wanna play through it again. Well there was one good part is that each AI had their own unique personality or "agenda". And plenty of voice acting (in other languages  )

Beat dojo mode in Tekken Dark Resurrection. All that's left is to play the story mode of the remaining characters.

Also I thought of a trick for dealing with the branching missions in Last Raven. Do a playthrough always picking a new mission wherever possible (obviously) but if you ever have two or more choices then after beating that playthrough do the exact same playthrough all over again up to that instance where you had a choice and pick the mission you skipped last time. A little time consuming sure but very thorough and requires only a minimal amount of memorization.

and apparently I'm playing two games simultaneously, whut?? I never do that. Oh but maybe this is a good thing, this way I'm always making progress instead of stuck playing Last Raven forever. It's a good safeguard against any game that's really long / time consuming.

also, I turned off the wifi switch on my psp, because let's face it, I will never connect to PSN ever again. There's no need thanks to cfw. Anyway, this supposedly will increase how long the battery lasts. Pretty cool!

O no. I got one of the songs from Civ 6 stuck in my head. Vlado hope you restart music of the week soon so you all can listen to it and have it stuck in your head

Was it this one? I gotta reload my save to confirm

Playing Last Raven is about to get droll, I've resorting to playing the first three mission cycles in the game over and over in different combinations until it gives me a new mission 4.

There are a total of three mission 1's, four mission 2's, and three mission 3's, leading to one of five or six mission 4's, one of which I have yet to encounter.
I've tried all the combinations for one of the mission 1's, so that just leaves the other two.
If I get the last mission 4 (or if I don't), then I might make that my last playthrough. Though I should remind myself to do a few more arena battles too.

Wrong Civ's theme. It was France/Catherine de Medici's theme that was stuck in my head not Norway's

Norway's was ok but Catherine's theme was more memorable.

The second video is the final part of the first. Or just listen to the second half of the first video

Looks like I'll have to refill the games on my PSP sometime in the next couple of days. I'm done with my current games, pretty much. I could play Tekken DR's dojo mode with more characters but other than that there's nothing I really need to do. I could try to beat the final boss in the Genesis Castlevania or get the chaos emeralds in Sonic 3D Blast but I don't really care.

Hm, the Mega Drive/Genesis Castlevania was one of my favourite games on the system. The music was really good, too. You didn't like it much?

It's not bad, especially by 16-bit standards. It's the furthest I've played a traditional Castlevania, and I love the music. I just don't feel like playing through the whole thing every time I run out of lives/continues now that I've already got up to the final boss. There are a few annoying parts too, like when the screen splits into three. Though part of it is simply the fact that I'm in a hurry to try other games.

edit: noticed that Silent Hill eboot is only 331 MB. Looks like I could be getting back into PS1 games. (or game)
I had the idea after deciding to try Obscure for PSP. (horror game) I have an influence map philosophy, if i like silent Hill for PSP then I ought to try other horror games on the system. But in that case why not apply the same logic to the other Silent Hill games. I'll have to cut Ultimate Ghosts N Goblins (PSP) to make room, but maybe it's worth it.

Ghosts N Goblins 421 MB, Silent Hill 331 MB, giving me 90 additional space. Maybe I'll end up keeping the emulators. I could throw in some junky PSP Minis while I'm at it, assuming I can find any with such a low filesize. Space Invaders perhaps?
P.s. Genesis emulation is pretty darn good on PSP. Forgot to mention that. Maybe I can try out some other games, like Aladdin.

I think there were Minis of old SNK arcade games like Athena, Psycho Soldier, the Ikari Warriors games... Certainly better than most minis which were pure trash.

And yeah, Genesis emulation... Have you played Snatcher? It's on SEGA CD (the same emulator will play it) and is a really cool cyberpunk adventure game by Hideo Kojima. But you'll need a bit more space for it.

Almost forgot, v's wiki had some neat homebrew apps I never knew about, like Wagic (play MtG on PSP)

nnngh... I probably want to try that. Not sure I can fit card images unless I cut a PSP game to make room.

Edit: it's confusing getting images, it seems several options are available so it's a mystery how you're supposed to decide on one.
That said, I really dig that this guy offers three different sizes. I'll probably go with the middle one.
http://wololo.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=33054
Edit: I'll go with the bottom one, on second thought. Damnit, why don't the preview pics work? :p

edit: I should grab a few campaigns, like this one:
