OK, I'm a bit late this week but I have been working
This weeks game is Treasure Island on the Commodore Plus/4, released before most of you were born in 1984. Yes, we had games back then too!

It came on a cassette tape and took about 5 minutes to load. It has possibly the most boring box art I have ever seen.

The graphics for the day were excellent, nice and colorful and a whole lot better than the consoles around at the time.

The basic idea is find your way through the maze, avoiding all the pirates along the route and get the treasure. You can throw swords at the pirates to clear the way if they are blocking you, but you only get to throw each sword once so be careful.

The map, for it's day was pretty large and takes a lot of time and plays to memorise. The entire game is just 28kb in size. I have longer shopping lists.

When you finally get the treasure it's all over right? Oh no, not in this game. Long John Silver wants his treasure back and chases you. You have to remember the exact route you took there whilst running at full speed.

Overall, given the date of this game and it's competition I would give it an easy 10. Taking into account today's games you're looking at more like a 5. It's still extremely playable and fun, but I doubt youngsters spoiled with modern graphics will appreciate it.
