ok wtf I wrote a lot of lines, and it didn't want to let me submit. I then reloaded the page and wasn't able to submit at all. Posting once here made it work again.

it ate my message again after your fix.
I wrote (sans quotes): "ok so this is a test to see the length of the shoutbox. I'm writing random stuff here to see when I get cut off. I'm currently playing freelancer and I just found a wreck in space and found some good weapo"
That's all it allowed me to write, but it still ate the message.

That's cut you off at 205 characters then, it's supposed to do it at 200. Could you reload the page and try again? Post where it stops again.

Strange, I'm always cut off at 200 characters, not 205. Could you try hitting Ctrl+F5 (so that the JavaScript is reloaded) in your browser and then try with the same message?

This is very annoying. I'll try to figure something out in the code again later.

I have changed the code so that it just cuts the extra characters instead of swallowing the whole comment. Let me know if you have issues again.
